Well we all found out that Super Monkey Ball is about 30mb, and for most people thats not a problem. But what if theres a limit to how many mbs of apps you can store like when you jailbreak? If the 'limit' is like 100mb, then were screwed. Because if SMB is about 30, then the average app sould be about 5-10 mb in size. That would be like 5-10 apps 'till you run out of 'space'! So does anyone reckon there will be a limit? And i yes, how much do you think it will be?

just install bosstool and relocate your apps to your media drive.
then you can have 8, 16, or 32 gigs of apps depending on your iPods model
the apps then share space with your music and videoes

Applications are stored on the Media partition when they come from the AppStore.

No! I mean for 2.0, not jailbreak! Like for App Store apps! Sorry if I didn't make my point clear....for 2.0's official App Store SDK apps!

EDIT: @Chris Stroud, really? Well thats good and bad. Good, because there wil be no limit, but bad because you can't keep track of how much memory your apps are holding up. And I believe you are wrong as i saw screenshots of iTunes 7.7 and saw there was an 'Apps' tab with options to 'sync all apps' and 'sync selected apps'. And also, there was a different colour for apps on the bar at the botom, I believe.

first of all, there has to be a limit of space, thers not an unlimited amount of space on your ipod..

what would be a great idea is that there should be a new version of itunes and there you can store your apps, if you want to change them they're in your "App Library" and you pick and choose which ones to have on your touch..

hmm... this is quite a good idea i think.

Well all of that will happen, aparet from the App Library and thats awesome! I'd so love that. Because say if you buy and app that you don't like, but don't care if you don't get your money back, you could delete it in there.

I've already told you that apple put a 2gb limit per app, so why would they give you only 100mb. All you have to do is think about the thing, guys. Also SMB is most likely not going to be on the iphone. So all in all you probably will have all the space that your iphone has.
