So I know apache is for the iphone os 2.x, because of installer, but I don't think installer works on 3.x

So it's still not in cydia for whatever reason, and I want to have apache on my iphone.

Am I going to have to compile it from source?
EDIT: Tried it, but it's having problems I will try playing with it more.

I don't know if it's still there, but in 2.x there was lighttpd, which is a lighter version of apache(better for an iPhone). It's small and easy to setup.

Yeah I got lighthttpd setup, works http://3dslice.net:23237
But I'd still prefer apache, because I know all the ins an outs of it. I know nothing about libhttpd. (Though I got it working, but I don't know about all of its modules etc)

    Hey.
I have the same problem, but probably lighttpd would be adequate for my needings, but i can't set it up... i read about it, but i'm getting errors all the time... -.-
Can you tell me how to set it on 3.x starting after downloading lighttpd from cydia?
