What should I know before Jailbreaking my 2.2.1 iPod Touch?

    Also some questions are:

    Is there a guide?

What is the best program to Jailbreak with?

Can I restore it or something to non jailbroken OS if something goes wrong?

What (do you think) the coolest themes are?

READ EVERYTHING, especially when it comes to booting, I can not comment on what the best program is to jailbreak because I had to jailbreak through cmd (with some help of course)
Yes, you can restore to a normal firmware after jailbreaking
And as some people no, my favorite theme is Delnoch's

yea i used CMD to jailbreak mine, it cant be said enough that no matter which method you want to use MAKE SURE YOU CORRECTLY PUT YOUR IPOD INTO DFU MODE to avoid topics and post from a scared jailbreaker saying that the ipod is "bricked"

I followed the instructions exactly and it still got "Bricked", I think...
How do I get it do do anything but sit there with a black screen?
Do I just let the battery die (its at about 5% now) and then restore w/ itunes?

I think it was just in DFU mode and the installer was not reconizing it. It either rebooted or turned on when I pressed the hold/power and home buttons for about 4 seconds.

    1) Plug it into the computer. Ignore any messages that pop up
    2) Open itunes
    3) Hold home and power for 10 seconds
    4) Let go of power and continue holding home for 8 seconds
    5) Let go of home, ipod should appear in itunes
    6) Use a booter to boot the ipod

I think it was just in DFU mode and for some reason the computer did not connect to it. It charges fine when I boot Kubuntu, but does not charge when I boot Vista...
