if anyone here has done something to their ipod with water put it in a bag with rice completely covering the ipod and put it in a warm place. not a cold place, not a hot place, a warm place. the rice should absorb all of the water.

Ooooh... This sounds like a good piece of advice to keep in mind. I'll try it when my iPod ever gets wet. Which probably will be never. Haha but thanks for the advice though.

The little packets of silica gel you get out of everything electronic these days would work better then rice. It has a much higher absorption ratio then rice.

Chances are, if you have dunked your ipod in the sink/toilet/ocean/beer glass it is too late and the damage is done. Your best bet is to actually hit it with a hair dryer on warm to hot. Dont use a heat gun, as it melts things.

Failing that, yes, a plastic bag, closed, in the sun with rice would be better then doing nothing

This isn't new news; it's posted all over the forum.
But I'm sure somebody will find this thread useful.

    What problem?
Well why not? The search feature is there for a reason.

Well at least I know I'm not dealing with the brightest bulb in the bunch.

I never knew that by making a point, you are automatically classified as being racist. I guess you learn somethin' new every day.

...How do you guys come up with that crap?
