A while back I did some web searches and read that some people had wifi problems after updating to 2.2.1. It was not necessarily right after updating-some had problems a while later that may or may not have been related. Since then I've held off on updating but I'm afraid if I download new apps or update some old apps they may not work with the 2.2 firmware. So I know there probably aren't many here that have not jailbroken their ipod touch but if there are has anyone had problems with this firmware update? I have no interest in jailbreaking. thanks.

My touch ran fine on 2.2.1, never had any problems, I am now jailbroken though. My wife's iPod is unjailbroken, running 2.2.1 and she never has any problems.

OK I did not get this done (call me lazy) and now it doesn't give me the option-only the 3.0 option. Can I still update to 2.2.1 somehow? Or am I stuck? I don't mind paying for 3.0 but I want to wait to make sure people don't have problems with it.

I figured someone would say that. lol. I think it took me 2 days to download 2.2.1. No biggie-I'll go ahead and start downloading the newest version of itunes and then 3.0. But I wonder-will all of my apps still work with it? I hope...

Don't worry, mate... Your apps will certainly run ok on the 3.0 firmware... I know because I just updated my OS and everything is still functioning fine!

Well I did it. I thought it would take a long time but it didn't. But my stitch'em words, which didn't work on 2.2 still isn't working. It did work at one time but I figured when the 2.2.1 update came out that was why it didn't work anymore. I was hoping it would work now but maybe they'll get it updated or maybe I should just remove it and reinstall...
