I just put the mail application on my iPod touch and I tried going to 'Other' and entered in what I thought was the correct information for my Optonline email account. But now I don't receive and I can't send email...so clearly I entered something wrong in the settings. Can someone tell me what the recommended settings are for someone using Optonline for email?

Do you have a free Yahoo! account?

Yes, but I heard Yahoo only works if you purchase an account that isn't free on yahoo. And I don't feel like paying $20 a year for my email I could get for free on my other email account.

This topic can be closed. I contacted Optimum and they said that the incoming and outgoing address is mail.optonline.net for both and I tried it and it works just fine! So my problem is solved.
