Just curious what your results were.

Did you have all this foolish nonsense of not having apps and such? Or did you have your apps along with the Installer icon?

When you're on firmware 1.1.3, you will always have your apps if you bought them. iTunes remembers this through serial number, ect...

Even if they don't show up, who cares - you can get them for free anyway... and knowing that you payed for them, getting them for free wouldn't be so bad anyway.

I'm concerned with the issues where your iPod is thinking it's an iPhone... and the app pack not working.

I'd rather just jailbreak and the apps be there, without all these hoops everyone is seemingly having to jump through.

I had a jailbroken 1.1.2, updated to 1.1.3 and bought the apps. Then the 1.1.3 jailbreak came out, and I just finished doing it. I don't mind paying the $20, but I want the ability to add my own apps and customize the look. Plus the rental movies are huge for me. (i work at a job where I have a LOT of free time at night, but have to sit outside.)

Uh oh.. Probably because you're on an iPhone firmware now.

But did you use your app pack that you purchased or did you have to do something else? iTunes installs the app pack n/p?

I was able to get my app pack working just fine after the jailbreak.

Right after the jailbreak finished I connected my iPod to iTunes and hit sync.

It added the applications just like normal and it shows 1.1.3 (with Software Upgrade) in iTunes.

And you don't have any strange things on your ipod? Like contacts missing or the addition of Phone and SMS?
