Ok I have posted a few threads on here about how my iPod Touch 2G is basically screwed. My computer will not recognize it at all so I assume the battery is broken/fryed. I was wondering if anyone has come across any good videos or tutorials on how to replace an iPod battery.

Before you start telling me to put it in DFU mode and my battery is not broken...

-Computer does not say "Unrecognized USB Device" so please dont tell me to put it in DFU mode because I cant
-I have tried charging it in multiple areas and then putting it in PC
-I have rebooted and switched USB ports...even gone to a different PC

I wouldn't assume you battery is dead, try charging it with a wall charger for like an hour and then connect it to you computer and try to get it in DFU mode. I just cant believe the battery is dead already. Just and idea I would try everything before I tore mine apart.

Ok I'll call Apple in the morning and ask about the battery situation...and not mention it's Jailbroken. Personally I think if it's a hardware problem it shouldnt matter.

This happened to me when Decovery stopped working in the middle of a boot process. I just held both buttons for a minute then it started up.
