It seems a lot of us, such as myself, are having problems with the music app not showing our music.

I'm able to sync all 18gb of my music onto my 2g touch, but when I go into Music it shows nothing.

Is there any way of fixing this? This will be the 3rd time I'm downgrading and I'd love to not need to again..

what FW you running? and what will you be downgrading to? it sounds hardware/ computer related rather than ipod FW if you've already downgraded

Well common sense would tell you I'm on 3.0 since this is the 3.0 forum.

I only have the problem in the beta, hence why I asked if anyone's figured out the problem...a lot of users have the same problem.

I've downgraded because I'd prefer a USABLE iPod. I've given 3.0 3 tries so far and no matter what I try, it still gives me this problem.

i dont have that problem. did you restore from a backup? lots of ppl have problems when they restore to 3.0 and sync their backup.

Nope. Completely clean install. I've tried restoring and upgrading, nothing works.
I set it up as a new iPod, not restoring from a backup.

ok, make sure your songs are synced. then go to Settings > General > About, and see if the number of songs are there. if it 0, try this:

    close itunes (right click, exit)
disconnect your ipod from your mac
disconnect all sources of internet (Airport, LAN cable)
    opne itunes
    connect your ipod
    sync.

    I've done that.
I'm on Windows, by the way.

I turned my wifi switch off completely, upgraded to 3.0, synced. All the songs are there. Music/Settings tell me there's nothing, yet says the space is filled up. iTunes says they're there.

Same here pspkicks316... I am trying to recode their syncing code... but I am going to take a while..

    I got the solution!,

First of all I tried editting the code, no luck,

but I found that if you add all of your music to a playlist, and press selected playlist, but check the one that you want,

    Thanks,

    DD
