Anyone changed a wifi/digitiser board on the 2g's?? you can buy them on ebay for £10 (see http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/iPod-Touch-2n...s_RL?hash=item5ad0f7fc6b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) Reason for changing is despite trying a new digitizer on this 16gb -after a back case cover swap - I cant get the digitizer to work at all - I just wondered if I've damaged the flex cable (although I dont think so, but have been wrong before!)

My worst nightmare would be it is heat soldered on as thats impossible to do without a rework station.

    Thanks in anticipation

Well you have nothing to loose except 10 bucks if you replace it, and to unsolder something you put the tip on the solder, it heats up and you can pull the wire out. Hope it helps.

Cant use soldering iron on flex - melts immediately hence why i asked - I'll need a IR heat gun to redo - which I do - unless someone else has done this task already
