    I need to access my iPod from my computer so I installed OpenSHH on my iPod but its not on the screen? Anyhelp?

    its there dont worry ... u should be able to SSH into ur ipod using ur IP address and root as user name and alpine as password

    OpenSSH is not a program tha shows up as an app

    no. SSH is wirelessy transfering files.

    no ....... u need a FTP program such as WinSCP... google it and installed it (if u have another program that works too)... then once u open it it will ask u for ur IP and user name and password

    this exact thing happened to me while i was jailbreaking my ipod from a 1.1.1 to a 1.1.4

    yeah the openssh wont show up on your screen but you can download services from installer and you will be able to turn it on or off from the services app. Also you know you dloaded ssh to your ipod if it shows ssh on/off switch in the services app


    then just ssh like normal

    openssh is the ability to ssh its not an app. thats a common misconception, dont feel alone. you need to install an app that controls the ability to turn it off and on if you want to see it. (i.e.: Services,iToggle,BossPrefs etc.)
