    no iPhone 4? or is iPhone 1 referring to the 3G, and iPhone 2 to th 3GS and iPhone 3 to the iPhone 4? because i notice that iPhone 1 has 4.0 pdf and the original doesn't support it so was wondering

    ^^ yer that's right. It was a common misconception. People thought iphone 2g meant second generation rather than the network abilities,

    Tis just confusing when starting it like that, so 1=3g, 2=3gs and 3=iphone 4. Clarification for everyone

    no thats not right, iPhone 1,x = original and 3G
    iPhone 2,1 = 3GS
    iPhone 3,1 = 4

    Correct. I believe the 3G and original iPhone have the same exact hardware, just the 1st gen obviously not having 3G.
