So basically, what happens is if you get the password wrong for your iPod too many times, it automatically disables, to prevent people from guessing it easily. By disabling it, if you don't know already, it tells you to wait a certain amount of time before trying to enter in a password again.

Well, lets just say that while my iPod was unlocked, my brother set up a new password. I locked it, and now I can't get in, and currently I have to wait until 15 minutes passes until I try ONE more password again.

Is there a way, though SSH maybe, to "un-disable" your iPod, or at least change/take the password off?

    Force Shutdown, and reboot

    Or so I've heard.

Edit: You should keel your brother. Might I suggest using a combo lock, for extra irony?

    Precisely.

Edit: and the force shutdown thing didn't work.

    I got it.

All I have to do is click "Sync" in iTunes, and then "slide to cancel"!

    Wha-la. Undisabled iPod.

Well, now that I figured out the password (2000), and I know how to undisable it, I'm going to see what the maximum time Apple put is. Meaning, if it only goes up to 1 hour, etc.
