Is there a way to disable the touch screen during a call because i always mute people with my cheek.
It should turn off the screen automatically. That means your proximity sensor isn't working
But you can lock your device while in call and that will solve your problem
There is known issue with the proximity sensor in the iphone 4. Apple is fixing by an update. So it will probably be fixed when iOS 4.1 comes out
Proximity sensor wont work...
Its the OS
locking ends the call......
and the screen does turn off to black but i touch it sometimes with my cheek just like you would touch with your finger to use any of the controls.
EX: im lying in bed and its on my cheek, or im holding it on my shoulder with my cheek like any other phone can do.
i dunno i guess i cant have a notouch screen but sill be able to use touch controls can i?
Read my post. It's a known issue with iOS 4.0. Apple will fix it probably with 4.1

but id rather have a jailbreak than a non cheeky phone. hope new jb comes out after apple updates every last mistake they can possibly come up with
