I have an iPod Touch 3G and I want to jailbreak it. Unfortunately, I started some games that I'm pretty into, so I don't want to lose those saves. Is there any way these can be backed up and restored within iTunes or another program?

    get ifunbox

search into the filesystem to /var/mobile/applications/*.app

move all those folders to somewhere safe in your comp

    jailbreak

    take those folders back

Hello, Blackra1n does NOT delete any game saves. Nor does it delete any apps. All it does is adds an app and makes it so jailbroken apps like sbsettings can be placed on the iPod. Blackra1n is very simple and takes 30 seconds.

Please keep in mind that the 8GB 3rd generation does NOT work with blackra1n. Only 32GB and 64GB.

    Updating doesn't erase them either.

Just today, I went from 3.0 -> 3.1.2 and jailbroke with blackra1n, and kept my game saves.
