Any way to add the Compass from the 3G S into the iPod Touch 2G

    I'm pretty soure the compass thing is a hardware update... so I don't think it's possible

    There is no magnetometer inside of any iDevice other than the 3GS. It's not possible.

    You can probably copy the Compass.app over, but it won't function. You'd need a magnetometer (which you can't put in an iPT2G).

    The app won't even launch, it is compiled for the new ARM8 Vortex processor, which isn't compatible with the ARM7 based chipset in the other iDevices.

    mayb if u wait for ipod touch 3 (or ipod touch s lolz) it mite b inclded in tat but other wise nope...
