Hey guys, just wondered if we had any competitive swimmers on the site. I'm going to Sectionals this weekend in Oklahoma and wondered if we have any fast swimmers here?

Yes! Good job making sectionals though, I barely made southeasterns. I only made it in the 50 free and 100 back though, so i didn't go haha.

Ah, yeah. Most of my friends at school think it's a sissy sport. I'd love to see them come try one of my 8000 yard practices. Then we'll see.

I made them when i was 14. 50 free - 27.92. 100 back - 1:07.21. I'm thinking about quitting though. I've only been swimming for about 2 years, but it's getting boring. I'll probably run XC and track...
    I abhor you as well

Ah, I see. They alright for a 14 year old. My 50 free right now is 22.88 and my 100 back is 57.34 and I just turned 15. But I'm not a backstroker, breastroke is my stroke, along with the IM.

Yeah. That is one of the reasons I'm gonna quit. I'm too short to really be competitive at my stroke, backstroke. So yeah, I'm done after this year. I've actually got a pretty good track coach, I'm running the 400 and 800 this year. I did love swimming though, just too bad that I could never really catch a growth spurt when i needed one...

Nah, I don't think it's a sissy sport, I have a lot of respect for people who do it. I just hate the sensation of being underwater and being unable to breathe.

    Aw, that's sweet of you.
