    Hey All,
Real simple- Just got my Ipod Touch (16M) that was already at 1.1.2. Followed the WAY easy Downgraded to 1.1.1 then Jailbroke it. Worked like a charm the first time (I followed the guides here and the guide from some cool kid on Youtube - http://youtube.com/watch?v=kD4h2qaC-mY&feature=user). Now I've got a Jailbroke 1.1.1 Ipod Touch.

Should I upgrade to a 1.1.2 (Jailbroke of course).
What are the benefits (other than gett the iPhone apps)? Are there any problems. I know the procedure isn't as easy as Jailbreaking 1.1.1, but from the guides, it still looks easy- So that's not a problem.
Just wondering WHY to do it?
All help would be great, and thanks for chiming in!!!

you can get the iphone apps without upgrading. There is no real benefit. People say it runs a little smoother but thats all speculation.

Well, it also overclocks your processor a bit, from 400mhz to 412mhz. Not major, but it could maybe make it load that page a tiny bit faster. There are also a few bug improvements. Including the TIFF exploit fix.

Shoud I stay with my Jailbroke 1.1.1 till there is a real reason to upgrade?

By the way, other than Apple fixing the TIF exploit, what else did they do with 1.1.2?

Everyone who did upgrade to 1.1.2 is going to tell you to upgrade.
Everyone who did not upgrade is going to tell you not to.

1.1.2 fixed several thing. It speed the ipod up a bit. It cleaned up the audio.
Those who did upgrade will tell you they have fewer hang ups and crashes.
I am at 1.1.2 and have had no hang ups or crashes. Runs great. Y.M.M.V.

Some who tell you no need to, did not because they can't seem to do it themselves. It's not hard. Everything you need to know and use is in my sig.

    Just do it.
