It seems NES is the only emulator that runs most games smoothly. Is there any other that runs as smooth. (I tried the GBA, but most games drop in fps)

I know the ipod touch isn't made for this but it would be nice, if there were more. I have a 2g ipod touch

I suppose SNES and the Gameboy are smooth, but don't take my word for it, SNES isn't smooth with MANY games

I'm new to emulation on the iPod (been waiting for the 2G JB obv..) but from my not too-extensive testing I think I can safely say that NES and GBA runs smoothly, SNES is sometimes laggy and needs a better controller and finally: do not bother with the PSX emulator, for now its not great.

I have not tried, nor do I feel any want to try GB/GBC emulator so cannot comment here..

imo gpSPhone, Genesis4iphone and NES are the only emulators that run at a decent speed, I have tried a few PSX games and all are slow or unplayable.

I have NES, SNES, Genesis, Gameboy, and GpS and they all work perfectly. I have about 200 of the best games loaded in each one.

And I havnt had a problem yet. I use iPhoneBrower and drop the games I download into the Rom folder for each one.

The only thing I have found is that the gameboy pokemon some are discoloured, and genesis sound you have to start a game, turn up the sound, then restart the game to get the sound to work.
