Got bored so i whipped up a quick little icon. Opinions?
That black stroke is terrible.
The top diagnal line on the glyph is rugged and pixely.
The gradient base is too drastic and it doesnt look quite blended.
My first attempt at a half decent icon.
Ill take those changes you said into account.
Have you taken a look at Tollboy's glyph pack?
Start with this basic psd and see where that gets you.
Ive taken a look at the glyph pack, im just trying to create one from scratch, and the basic .psd i already have. I know what to do, Im just not very good at doing it.
Updated one looks okay.
I think you should just make the glyph a solid color, rather than attempting to have it blend in with the base.
And on the left and right "stems" of the note, try making them as wide as the top "bar" is.
And excuse the terms, I dont know the analogy of a musical note. xD
yes, take the direct select tool, get the 2 points of the "leg" and drag them out a little do the same for the other leg
How about you change the stroke to be somewhat metallic? Make the gradient go from a shade of blue to another shade of blue rather than going to white. The music note should also be thicker (in my opinion)
Polygonal Lasso should work best.
Separate names with a comma.
