iPhone 3G Any downsides to JB Iphone 3g

    hi ppl, i was thinking about jb my iphone 3g already jb my touch but just wondering if there is any downsides to jb? thanks

    Unless you have Apple Care or protection or something.
    Plus on 3G's you can unlock your SIM now.

    Does JB have any effect on battery?? at all like decreasing it maybe still quite new to the whole jb stuff

    Worse case scenario, you can always restore the original software with no traces if you wanted

    Some people say that it decreases their battery. That might be true but if you use things like Winterboard then it will drain it faster. The upside is worth it though.

    Yeah, it does drain battery if you have mobilesubstrate addons or extra programs running in the background. Things that will potentially drain extra battery:

    Backgrounder
    Winterboard
    SBSettings
    iRealSMS/BiteSMS
    StatusNotifier
    SMSNotify (Which I'm pretty sure doesn't actually work)
    The thing with the video backgrounds

    I can't think of any more, but I'm sure there are more. Other disadvantages, probably none. It's a little more laggy, but that's only if you have tons of stuff running.
