I already kicked out 500 bucks for my 32 ipod and i'm not sure if I would dish out even more.

Of course this will lead to a piracy debate but thats not the point, the point is.... will there be a way we can get the games free? ( I mean if i can get Wii games free...this should be easier?)

    What do you think? Possible?

No one can predict the future.

2.0 hasn't officially been released or jailbroken yet, and no one is sure about the type of protection that is going to be used for the SDK apps.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks, I'm so glad i didnt get flamed for this. I thought everything was already released, stupid me.

but just like everything else, I predict 2.0 is going to be jailbroken and the games can be downloaded for free, this site however, will want no part of that because of legal reasons. If the psp can be hacked, I doubt the ipod is going to be any more difficult.

The Release date is July 11, next Friday.

I have to agree with you.
Just as it has been with previous Firmwares, I'm sure the iPhone Dev Team will be able to jailbreak 2.0. It'll just be a matter of time.

The Apps use Fairplay DRM from what Steve Jobs said at the Keynote.

There most likely going to be a way to get around what ever is protecting it and will let people get stuff for free, thats just what I think.

They might even lock app downloads to authorised, paid iPods only, server-side. With the same DRM, so its as likely to be broken as you're likely to hack the iTMS to get free music. As in, none.

It would be illegal anyway. Its not like the apps will be $20 each or anything.
