Ok so I used to have a sansa and it let me change the bass, treble n other stuff manually, but the ipod does not. is there any app that allows me to do this, since the only way to get more base is to raise the volume n i really dont wanna go deaf. And no im keeping my headphones which have great bass when i play music from my computer since i can do it there

Not that I know of, but the ipod does allow you to change bass (but it sounds terrible)
go to setting, then music, then eq, the bass booster

it sounds like crap on the default headphones. if you pay for decent headphones it makes a nice difference.

there cant be apps that change the all around eq due to apple restrctions.

App Store programs cannot access things outside of their own folders or certain SDK-provided function calls, and cannot affect the function of the rest of the system. This means that EQ adjustments which affect how the iPod player app works are verboten.
