iPhone 3G Another Iphone 3G thread...about apps

    Hey, just wondering if I'll be able to buy an iphone via a rogers contract, and then somehow use 3rd party apps on it. I wouldn't need to unlock it, i'd just need a way to get apps + other customizations just like on a normal (old) iphone. Thanks.

    Well there is the app store to give you apps. Also there is no knowledge as to if the new iPhone will be hackable/jailbreakable yet.

    You can use official third party applications through the App Store if you purchase a 3G iPhone.

    If you're referring to using jailbroken third party applications, there is no official jailbreak for the Firmware 2.0 to be publicly released, although there are jailbreaks for earlier builds of Firmware 2.0.
