When you've downloaded certain things or hacks or whatever through Cydia, they all have different buttons at the bottom when you're done. Some say return to Cydia, some say restart springboard, and some say reboot device. Whenever I've downloaded something and have to press reboot device, my iPod touch shuts down, and the only way I can get it working again is to re-jailbreak it. Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help me with this?

Can you explain more? I'm new to jailbreaking & Cydia and stuff like that, I have no idea what a booter is.

it does for me. i havnt encountered any problems substituting the repring for the reboot yet. maybe there are some situations where you HAVE to reboot tho but i have not encountered them.

If you don't already know, the tethered jailbreak requires you to boot it using a computer. Go download Decovery. It works great. Or you could try doing the "run rs" trick, and using irecovery, (which I assume you know how to use if you have jailbroken your iPod...)
