    Hey guys,

i actually have two questions to ask you people.
    1. When i sync my ipod i have 4.67GB audio, 1.44GB video, 2GB apps,
and then a random 5.88GB of "other" memory. The color of this "other"
memory is orange. What is all this crap and how do i get rid of it???
Cause now i only have 564.4MB left!! I was thinking of a restore to get
rid of all these ghost files, but, if i do a restore does it erase all my
app save files?? (like save games, high scores, etc.)

    2. Does the ipod touch 2g have the TV on - TV off feature?? I used to
have an ipod video and it had that feature. What the feature allows you
to do is using TV off allows you to watch the video with sound. TV on
allows you to just hear the audio. (saving battery life) Is there any way
to enable this on an ipod touch???

    THANKS GUYS

Click the backup button while you are syncing

    DFU is device firmware upgrade
So, put it into DFU mode (tut in my sig) and click the restore from back up button in itunes, it will erase EVERYTHING on the ipod, and then add the back up data (not the other category) back to the ipod

Jailbreak apps and files you SSH'ed into the iPod also show up as "Other" files. If you haven't installed any large jailbroken apps or done major SSH'ing lately, you might want to do a restore.

Yeah, if you have anything that the iPod doesnt recognize its "other" I suggest getting rid of apps, videos, and pictures that you dont need. Music...keep all the music, unless its the Jonas Brothers. In which case, throw your ipod in the trash.
