Animated Boot Logo?

    is it possible to have an animated boot logo?
    i'm not very familiar with png files so i don't have a clue. just curious

    Doubt it.
    Most animated files come as *gif format type files.

    like to have a pineapple fade into color as it boots? thats what i really want. but it sounds like it can't happen until they can change the filetype of the boot logo, which prob can't happen.

    I'm sure with some codeing it could happen.
    Or just a app that boots up when the touch starts.
    Just give it time. Someome will develop it now since we can reboot freely as we want.

    Nope. Won't work. You can only use static .png images.

    It would be cool, though. I'd have mine play the OS X welcome video.

    mng is format for animated png and its not suported by safari so why would the os suport it insted of a png?
