there's alot of discussion At "3rd Gen iPod touch" about the Zii Egg beating the iPod touch because of Android.

(if you don't know what android is, it is an OS, middleware, User friendly interface and powerfull application which are made to make mobile devices alot cheaper and easier to use. you can find more information here:
    http://www.android.com/)

if you don't know what the Zii egg is... you can find it here:http://www.zii.com/Developer/Landing.aspx

now i just want to talk about the Software, NOT THE ZII EGG!!

now alot of people are saying that the Plasma OS (Android) is Way Better then the iPhoneOS. What i want to know is WHY you guy think it's So Great (or not so great).

Iv used Android on the G1 and iphone. I have also used prirtty much every variation of android i.e Dream/Hero/Sapphire and it isnt as good as the iphone os yet, but at the rate that it is going and if creative puts some money into the development it could be better than iphone os. Not to mention the specification of the creative device.

plasmaOS and android are different things, first of all

but i just want to say that until apple opens up to other cellular companies, there will be little to no competition and android will skyrocket to the top

    TMOBLIE FTW!

When I went to the Android Website they have many things like the iPhone/iPod

    -SDK for Developers
-a Market like the App Store

    But what is Better is

    -Really Open-Source
-SDK for ALL Major OS's (Windows,Mac,Linux)

I have a g1 but I think that the Android OS is a little slow but is growing at a fast rate with the new UI Rosie which can be found on the HTC Hero. I really like it but can't stand the g1 with battery

    thanks for your replys.
most of you said it is good, still not good enough to beat the iPhoneOS but still has a lot of potential

I love the iPhone OS because its clean and bugs are patched really fast. Unlike the g1 updates only can be downloaded through Air unless you know but to the average user. While the iphone has a simple update and when they come out it has a ton of new features. I love the iphone apps because they seem like 100x faster and cleaner then the androids. But in the long run, android is going to take over iphones OS because the Android Os was released last year and now there are +10Phones coming out with the new OS

The iPhone/iPod already has a powerful grip on this industry, its going to take a lot more than an Egg or a Zune to run them out.
