Yup I really dig my Nexus One, and all the early updates. I got my Nexus One on July 1st and it has really been a good experience to use something else than my iPod touch. The OS is so nice and overall fun to use.
Android has more customization and flexibility. iOS 4 is a closed system so its not as customizable or flexible. Both have their pros and cons. Both are good smartphone OS's. If you like to get your hands dirty and customize every part of your phone android is the way to go. You can root your phone and load other ROMs avail for most android devices. You can even learn to make your own. I am one of those people. I love to learn about things, so android is great for me. I like to try every 'hack' available and push my phone to its limit. I remember back when I had a windows mobile phone how much I loved to 'cook' my own version of the OS. Android is similar to that. If you are someone who just wants a phone to 'work' and do what you want easily then iOS is for you. I find things I was used to in iOS are sometimes a pain in android. Such as contacts and individual ringtones for each contact. Also email is a pain, the built in mail client is terrible. You have a seperate gmail client. Syncing music requires more effort, and backing up applications is not idea in my opinion. You either have to back them up to an sd card or redownload them if you ever wipe your phone. I wish there was an itunes for android. Some people hate itunes, but I love it. It makes everything convenient. I stay with android because I enjoy tweaking the OS, but I miss iOS because it was easier to sync with all my media and apps. I dont have time to everything manually. I liked being able to just plug my phone in and check off a couple things and hit sync. Thats why I bought an ipod touch
I've been an ipod touch user for 8 months and i agree that it is a good OS, but the only reason i bought an ipod touch was for the apps which wasn't available on other MP3 If android made a media device instead of sticking with the smart phones i would have gone with android any day as the OS is more open source, meaning third party apps are not required to be on the Android market to be insalled, If i were to purchase an android phone today it would be the HTC desire. Android is also more customizable then IOS without the need of Jailbreaking/Rooting the device So my opinion is Android rules over IOS
wow you took the words right out of my mouth i wish big companies like motorola and htc and lg made some sick mps players i mean how cool would ot be to see an android powered multimedia device !!!
why are there like 4 droids coming this year, the droid 2 is coming now and the droid pro is coming later. its like i just got this phone, now a better one is coming in 2 months
