The openiboot port is being worked on for the MB 2G devices, it does not currently work. Without openiboot, there is no Android.

Work will have to be put in to create the MC port, but this is not currently possible because an exploit has not been released at a low enough level to make this possible

Basically, you can have an exploit at different levels, the lower it is, the better. The exploit available at the moment is a userland exploit, which is basically in the same level that apps run, i.e, too high.

There is an exploit in reserve which is low enough to have openiboot possible, but it has not been released yet

p0sixninja and geohot have it. Geohot isn't working on it though, he's enjoying the world cup. P0sixninja hasn't got his iPhone 4 yet so he's not really working on it either. The devs stay away from giving ETAs or any other information before a release because they might not be able to stick to it, so your guess is as good as mine

And Bobby, are you saying that certain exploits only have certain permissions?, and that high ones don't provide permissions to edit iboot?
    Or something like that......
