If you know , they make itunes gift cards . My question is , do they make android market gift cards ? if they dont , is credit card the only way to go basically ? thanks
As far as alternate billing goes, depending on your carrier you can set the market up to just add the price to your monthly phone bill.
They're not easy to find; it's a part of Google Wallet, you purchase these cards and add the credits to your Wallet. Only problem is, Wallet is only for the Nexus S and Nexus S 4G, and because those are the only two of the hundreds of Android phones that are supported, finding the cards will be hard ( I hear 7 Eleven sells them). Google Wallet + Checkout isn't a fully completed service so Google is kinda keeping it exclusive to those devices for now. I'd suggest using carrier billing though; it's much cleaner and much simpler. And done from directly within the Market, no extras needed.
I agree with billing your phone bill, but if you must, Wallgreens, 7/11, Duane Reade, etc all carry prepaid gift cards that come with an activation fee (five bucks or less).
I came across a service that does this. www.androidmarketgiftcard.com . You can pick the game/app you want the gift card for. It sends the customized gift card by email to your friend. I found it convenient to send a gift to my nephew and they were prompt in answering questions I had. Hope that helps!
