i can't see the advantages other than that android fans will enjoy they favorite OS, I prefer iphone OS than this
I agree with you in saying that the advantages are limited. With jailbreaking most of the options available to droid users become available to iPhone users. For me tho, the advantage comes from being able to get an entirely new interface, that can make my old phone do new things, without me having to get an entirely new phone. In essence I get more life out of my phone. It's not that I think ones better than the other and I have to try it. It just a little bit of something new to "spice things up."
Thanks for the response, however, the MB ipt2g models (like my one) has a bootrom exploit (if that's what you meant by "No JB"). It's only newer MC models which don't currently have a bootrom exploit.
I hope you cann put it on your ipod touch! that would be amazing!!! i understand the 3G and phone part wouldnt work but i wouldnt see why the rest wouldnt
Really can't see Android working fluently on the iPhone, hardware wise. There's just isn't enough buttons to enable the best usage of the android platform. There's the longpress-home for easy multitask/app-switching. There's search-hold for voice search on-the-go. Not to mention the basic back, home, menu buttons (which can be replaced by double/triple taps...I guess?). Still a brilliant development because iPhone/iPod touch users can explore the other side of the world (not saying some haven't).
So? It's open source. You can easily change how that all works too if you must. I mean the iPhone's home button it self already has several functions anyway, more so when jailbroken.
