I have noticed (with my HTC HD2 especially) that when you plug it into the charger, you have to light up the screen (I have it set to not light up when charger in) to get the notification light to glow and recognise that it is charging.

This happens on these Android devices that I have tried it on.

    • Motorola Atrix (only some ROMS)
    • HTC HD2 (Android in general)
    • HTC Desire (Android in general)
    • ZTE T60 (Android in general)
It also happens on these devices
    • iPod touch 4G x2
    • iPad 1
    • iPad 2
    • iPod Nano 3G
    • iPod Nano 6G x2
Does anyone else get this and can they explain it.

I've never had this, on either my HD2, Nexus One, or Droid 1. As for the IPT4G, I thought it didn't have a notification light of any sort, so I haven't noticed anything with mine.

I also dont recall seeing this on my Atrix, Touchpad, or (when I owned one) Nook Color. Perhaps there's some app you have installed that's responsible?

Only happens to my iPad 2, but usually it happens when there's a problem with the cable. I've been noticing some cables not charging my devices, and others work more efficiently than the others.

This only happens on ICS Roms for some reason, thats why I want to go back to HTC Sense, but my phone still wont boot any Sense ROMS? The IPT4G doesn't have LED Notification light but it won't make the charging noise till I plug it in.

Well, that's what I thought but I wiped data and installed the same ROM and it still contnued, then I just installed Neturino ROM (try this ROM if you haven't) and its fixed it?

I'm not alone, well that's good.

Well my iPod Touch 4G's and iPod Nano's all use different wall chargers (yeah you can imagine my power points) and so do my Android Phones, so that's not the problem.

Nope, as is the post above, I use different chargers for everything.

The only thing is that the devices still charge (tested last night, put all devices on charger and didn't wake them, none of them shown any sign of charging, but in the morning they were all 100%)?

    Wonder Why.

Some info on the devices and chargers.
