An ipod touch has been detected but identified properly HELP PLEASE!!!

    "An ipod touch has been detected but could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the ipod then try again."


    I upgraded my ipod touch to 1.1.5 and all of a sudden whenever i plugged it in itunes wouldent recognize it. I looked around the net and someone suggested going into DFU mode. I did that and now i get THAT ERROR. Please help ive tried every suggestion IE. Different USB ports unplugging and re-plugging, unplugging all my usb devices then trying, reinstalling itunes EVERYTHING!!! Please help my ipod is stuck in DFU mode and i am leaving on a vacation in 3 days!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    so your ipod is practicly dead
    for example it wont turn on right?

    well it isnt dead it was working an hour ago when i upgraded to 1.1.5 but now its stuck in DFU mode and cant be recognized

    how do i turn it on if it is in DFU mode?

    okay i got my ipod out of DFU and downgraded to itunes 7.5 but now itunes just wont recognize my ipod! It still charges the ipod but it wont show up on itunes BLARG

    iTunes 7.5 doesn't recognize 1.1.5. U have to upgrade iTunes to 7.7 and whilst doing this have your iPod unplugged

    but i DOWNGRADED itunes because it wouldent recognize my ipod touch! gah i guess ill try upgrading again....

    okay i just tried to connect my ipod to my moms computer which is running the latest version of itunes and it still doesnt show up!
