Hey Everyone, I need a little help. When I plug my Itouch into my computer Itunes gives me a message saying "An Iphone has been detected but could not be indentified properly, please disconnect and reconnect your Iphone and try again."

It's really frusterating, Apple is sending me a box for repair, but if I can fix it before the box comes that'd be sweet. Any Suggestions?

I hope you aren't sending it back to Apple jailbroken! Did you try and restore with ipod firmware instead of ipod? Can you give more details?

Use ziPhone to put it into recovery or DFU mode (under mode or advanced); iTunes will recognize it and you can restore.

    Even better.

Go to ~/var/root/iTunes_Control/ and delete that entire folder.

    Now reboot, sync.

use mobilefinder and navigate to /var/root/iTunes_Control
    or using ssh/terminal:

    cd /var/root/iTunes_Control

    and the ~ shouldn't be there, cause that's just /var/root or /var/mobile

You might want to look where the folder actually is in:

    /var/root/Media/iTunes_Control
