This is not a new iPad. I've had it since launch, a 64gb wifi model. Anyway the problem is that it's been awhile since I made a back up so i decided to go do it. I hooked up the ipad and itunes is saying that there is an ipad synced already. It shows the usual two options of setting up as a new ipad or restore from a backup (2 months ago). I dont want to lose all of my data. Anything I can do to save it? I also have an iphone 3g if that may help and they are both jailbroken. Please help. Thanks

sounds similar to when I had a problem connecting my ipod touch to itunes. resolved the issue but cant remember how now as it was ages ago . If you look in that section of the forum for ipod touch you should find a lot of threads relating to it. I will have a quick look too.

    Found one solution

Choose Transfer Purchases from the File menu in iTunes and then sync

Have you upgraded to 9.2 version of itunes?

Might be a good idea to try itunes 9.1 version as many people are saying that there are issues with jailbreak with 9.2 version. I never upgrade itunes until I know jailbreak is ok with that version.

Did you try to tranfer purchases?
Thats any apps you downloaded on ipad and not via itunes. You have to transfer those to itunes when you connect to it.

Maybe one of your family has an iPad hidden somewhere.

What data do you not want to lose exactly?
