An exploit is the thing that leads to the jailbreak. The just have to make a software that does it all for us.

An Exploit is the technical term for a program that exploits specific weak points in a piece of software (for example Buffer Overflows). In this case, it can be used to execute code which allows read write access to the ipod filesystem which is the jailbreak.

I find it funny how all this time people were panicking about Apple patching up the holes, changing up the hardware, making it impervious to hacking... and 2 members from Dev Team say it took them only 1-2 hours to take advantage of it. XD

Yeah.. it makes Chronic look dumb. But still, good job to all those who were involved and those who tried.

Clearly Dev Team just have a more in depth knowledge of the iPhone architecture than many others and technical understanding of how everything works. They were the ones who figured it out for the 1G and 1st gen iPhone. Naturally, the 2nd generation would be harder on those who didn't figure it out.

    That and its:

iPhone Dev Team, which has more than 1 person vs. Chronic Dev - Just 1 Person.
