guys, I'm new at this jailbreak thing, but um... Why can't the iPhone apps be accessible thru the installer app. What I was wondering was if someone could just upload them there and then they could effortlessly be installed (like Apollo) Whacha think?

Probably because the iPhone Apps are copyrighted by Apple, and the people who run the repository don't want to get b*tch-slapped with a cease-and-desist.

An easier way? It's already very easy.

    1) Download winSCP
    2) Log into your iPod (just like you did with SSH, host is you.ipod.ip.address, user is "root" and password is "alpine"
    3) Drag the apps (on windows, they look like folders) and drop them in the appropriate folder in the iPod.
    4) Right click on what you just dragged, make sure permissions are set to 755 (look for where it says "0755" or something similar)
    5) Check the box where where it asks to apply permissions this recursively.
    6) Reboot your iPod.

It really is just a hair more advanced than drag and drop. You'll see.

    Have fun!
(All this is assuming of course that you already own the files, and that you simply copied from your own personal iPhone, and are only using this for personal use.)
