An app that lets you use ipod as a tv remote

    while ive been googling this i read up about the L5 that came out but is their another way i can make my ipod into a universal remote without buyin the L5 piece

    P the ipod touch doesnt have an infrared port, so you cant really control your tv. there is one app that comes close, for at&t uverse. if you get the app, you can manage your recorded shows via your at&t account. hope this helps

    There's apps out on the app store. But you need to buy an adapter.

    Yeah, you need an adapter as the iPhone/iPod has no I.R. sensor built-in. The adapter gives it one.

    sorry to sound newbish but can someone explain what jailbreaking is? i have a 32gb 2nd gen touch. thanks.

    your best off putting that question in a jailbreaking thread, basically its to have themes and other cool stuff,that you wouldnt normally get from apple.
