Intel, pay the bit extra and get better performance. Performance per MHz is much higher with Intel and the overclock better too

I've always had an AMD and I find its always worked identically as my family's intels. AMD is always cheaper. The only thing that makes intel better right now is the fact that the i7 processors are out now; it's only a matter of time before AMD comes out with their next generation hardware. Really, it's only a constant back and forth battle for who has the faster processor.

Intel is with Apple-that makes Intel the Sith.

I personally prefer Intel, but I do not have any real reason why. Just like them better and they seem more ahead (have been using LGA sockets for all processors since 2005, AMD still use PGA except for their 1207 for servers.)
I have no proof that AMD is less good because my dad's PC has a Pentium 4, before I upgraded it, it had a Pentium III, my desktop has a Pentium Dual, my brother's has a P4, his laptop has a PIII, and my laptop has a Celeron. My mom's laptop has a AMD Turion 64, but it runs Vista so its slow anyway..

AMD has pretty much been behind the last 5 years. Pentium 4s were better than Athlon 64s, P4 duals and Core2Duos were better than Athlon 64 X2s, Core2Quads are better than Phenoms X4s. The Phenom II isn't in the same league as the i7. Pretty sure Phenom II is AMD's new hardware cos they even used a new socket (AM3).
