    This is great!

Now they should take the next step and offer FREE TV shows that have LIMITED commercial interruption.

The commercials should be targeted to each user - making it much more likely they will actually watch them.

if users have a choice to watch the ads or not its not profitable the commercials should have to be played for the rest of it to play its the only way something like that would stick around

Can't you already buy TV shows through iTunes? Or is the "fighting back" cheaper TV shows?

For $.99, Apple lets you rent them for 48 hours, and Amazon lets you own them. (Well, you can stream them as long as Amazon is around, but you can't download the .avi or anything because of DRM restrictions.)

Amazon lets users keep the TV shows unlike Apple.

Those rented TV episodes can be recorded to DVD.

If they brought this to the uk for the equivalent of $0.99 or even £0.99 - that would be amazing ;D

Yummy! Are the DRM protected? Do a need some Amazon approved player or Software to watch them? If I can play them on whatever I want then this is great! If they are locked down to a browser or app or certain device then boo.

Edit: Never mind. Got excited and didn't read completely.... it's just as bad as apples DRM system... *******s forever!
