    I originally got a "3rd Generation iPod Touch 3.1.3 not supported" error, I had to close iTuneshelper.exe and iPodservice.exe to get it to work.

    What OS you have?

    Try this;

    Run Spirit in Windows 98 Compatibility Mode
    Run As Admin
    Turn Off Antivirus/Firewall
    Connect iDevice
    Run Spirit (It should say what iDevice is currently connected)
    Jailbreak it, after successfully jailbreaking it, close Spirit.
    This should work.

    If not try using a different iTunes version.

    I have iPod Touch 2G and 3G both MC Models.
    Windows 7 64 Bit
    iTunes Version 9.0.3

    Hope this helps.

    Tried all of that and nothing. I have Windows XP on my desktop, but I'm going to try it on my Windows 7 laptop tomorrow...
