Am i crazy?

    Ok one day i was listening to some music enjoying a nice sunny day. I went to change the song and noticed a little dot on the upper-left corner of my ipod on the black part(not the screen) can anyone tell me what it is or even if i was just seeing things? thanks yous!

    And what does this ambient light sensor do exactly?

    regulates the brightness of the screen depending on lighting conditions to save battery life.

    Also to improve screen visibility. If you're in direct sunlight, it will make the screen brighter (and therefore easier to read), and if you're in a darker place where not as much brightness is needed, it will dim the screen.

    The only problem I have is I find that it makes the screen flicker a bit at lower brightness levels.
