I don't like PwnPlayer overall but do appreciate the lockscreen controls it features. Surely someone can make that work standalone?

The concept is great is just needs to be fine tuned in order for it to be used as a replacement to the default player.

It Might be possible don't quote me on this but i think it would require editing the MobileMediaPlayer.app and i dont think that can be done... yet

Why do you not like PwnPlayer?

Or someone could code an widget... When you lock the ipod, and place your finger on the wallpaper, the music control thing comes up.

It looks glitchy, and ugly. The original mobilemediaplayer.app looks and feels better. (atleast better then the 'demo' video of the app on youtube.)

You don't need to, you just use onClick or <a>, but I'm not sure that the wallpaper or the lock-screen can capture click events because they are the bottom layer.
Also there is no way to interface MobileMusicPlayer through HTML.
