Yesterday night, i purposly bricked my ipod and went to best buy. I told them that the iPod Touch hasnt boot up for like 2 days and that now it is telling me to restore it but my internet is "down. I also said that this has happened before. I asked if i return it, can i get an iPod Touch 2g. he said if he can fix it then he can't. He fixed it but luckly my grandma steped in and complained and now the manager said if it has anymore problems, i can exchange it.

Is there anyway of making the iPod Touch unusable and to make it so that they can't fix it?

Use WinPwn to Pwn your device, and in the middle of the proceedure, disconnect your iPod. There we go, "bricked"

Throw it on a carpeted ground, making sure to not dent it up at all. A few good tosses should mess it up, although I've seen people run over their touches and they still work. If you knock it around hard enough, something has to give.
