Updating to 3.0 and than jailbreaking my iPod Touch 2G. Now before I do this I just pressed Back Up on my iPod Touch. Will this save all of my songs, applications, etc so when I restore it, they will all be back immediately? I don't want to lose all of my data.

Songs are in iTunes so don't need to be backed up.
AppStore apps are already in iTunes to don't need to be backed up.
Cydia apps will need to be reinstalled (AptBackup is risky from 2.1.1 to 3.0)

Oh, BTW: DO NO LOAD THE BACKUP UNTIL YOU JAILBREAK, sh*t GETS f***ED UP OTHERWISE (learned this the hard way)

When you update, it doesn't overwrite any of your existing apps, music etc. Though it's recommended that you restore before jailbreaking, then sync, but I did it without any of that (some bugs come up...though most likely from the FW rather).
