is there a way to alphabetize the apps on each page in the springboard? i use infiniboard so i have a lot of each page, and they're sorted by type (games, photography, recently downloaded, preloaded apps, and everything else) so reseting would be a baddd idea.

is there an app to alphabetize them in folders? if that's the only way, i'd do it i guess.

oh, and springsorter did not work for me.

i have an ipod touch 4g. 4.1 firmware.

The only way you can alphabetize every app is by going into:

    settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout

It will reset the apps in alphabetical order, putting the default apps on the first page.

He's completely right. If you feel like wasting your time you could restore it...That would have the same effect.

The only way I could alphabetize my 120+ apps was manually :/

I had to do it manually for like a 107 apps, put them in each folder too lol. OCD -_- The reset home layout doesn't work for me :/ maybe because I have infinifolders? Idk

I did this with my new iPod touch..... Managed it in iTunes though because you can ctrl + click and select more than one app to move, especially helpful when making folders.

Yes, because you have Infinifolders. IconSupport, which is required for Infinifolders, uses a second icon layout that is not affected by the reset home screen layout in the settings app. You can verify this by going into safe mode, your apps should be alphabetized.

just be warned when reseting the layout you will also lose all folders it will take them out and place them on the screen.

    Didn't work

I tried doing the settings>general>reset>reset home screen layout and it didn't work. It didn't even do anything.
