I am new to Jiggy... but any devs and trainees should log into #jiggy or #jiggydev on irc.moofspeak.net whenever you can to share ideas and help others

    Thanks in advance

or you could do one of the more productive things.

    1. learn objc not jiggy cuz jiggy blowszzzzz
    2. not dev at all seeing that 2.0 is comin up

Stop bashing new devs. YOU started with jiggy, so are they. Its an easy one to start with, just let them do it, even if they make useless apps.

    yea.

Not dev at all is a bad idea if you take it seriously:?

The only thing Javascript is used for is not iPhone apps:/

While I agree with GoJohnnyBoi's statement that the original poster should move on to Objective C Because Jiggy is a dead platform that yields terrible Widgets (Not Apps).

I don't agree with the way he said it. He should know better by now.

Jiggy has " Widgets " because people dont take thier time to make one great " Application " but instead learn as little as they can to make the worst app they can:/

I thought id post a message, considering i was one of the first to implement jiggy into a decent app.

For beginners who dont know anything about programming languages jiggy is a good start, it gets the head around the basics levels of coding with js....which is simple (if you know it).

I agree people make "Widgets" and dont take their time, and their apps turn out quite pants and pointless. I for one took 2 months making iLive, its half decent i suppose.

Jiggy is a dead platform, aracnid (guy ho made it) left the project long time ago, so everyone is in the dark. As soon as 2.0 is out....its dead.

gojohnnyboi.....i agree with you to the fact people should use the SDK, its what it is there for, but i dont agree with the sinister gates avatar, avenged sevenfold own, but he cant sweep pick for s**t

    .

    in conclusion..

Total beginners - use jiggy to get to grips with things, then move onto the sdk (if you have a mac that is)

Programming knowledge people - use SDK, i use the SDK, its really not that hard, but then again, i have been making frameworks for desktop apps for sometime now....so it was easy to pick up.

Jiggy is a great place to start for a complete beginner i started with it and have now moved on to the SDK. My "Widget" wasn't all that bad. Bettys Cookbook FTW
