I heard that these headphones need to be amped.
Can you use the Fiio E5 to drive it?
I will be getting these soon or do I need to buy an extra amp?

They most definitely do not need to be amped. They can be ran off an iPod and still sound very good.

How much do you think would be a good price for it?

    MS1 - $90

You said good - not retail.

What is the retail price for it?

What about the improved version of 2009?

    E5 - $17.41 shipped http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18350

Although I think you should get the E1 for $20.61 shipped. It has a LOD, inline music controller, and a clip. Regarded to have better overall SQ. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.30344

MS1i uses the improved drivers of the SR-125i rather than the MS1 using SR-125 drivers. Thicker cabling is used with the MS1i as well I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Only $10 more for the improv. ver.

    MS1 - $99
    MS1i - $109

I have the fiio e5. Is there a big sound difference between them or should I save up for a better amp?

If you have an E5 already, then you're fine unless you really want that LOD + controls.
