Hi, first poster here. I've just bought an iPod touch today and synched it up with my existing iTunes library. Trouble is I can't seem to get any album artwork from the iTunes store. All of my albums were taken from bought CDs. Does the iTouch only allow artwork from albums purchased from the iTunes store? Also, is it possible to transfer my existing DVD collection onto the iTouch? Apple, as usual, are useless on providing info about how to do this.

I really need help as I also bought an iTouch for my girlfriend for Christmas and if I can't figure these problems out I'm in for a right kicking come Christmas Day!

Itunes can get music from most CDs even if their not bought from iTunes.
If you do a search, there are methods to manually add album art.

Also If you do a search there are a bunch of programs to extract videos from Dvds.

It imported the music no problem. I upgraded from an old iPod and iTunes to the iTouch and iTunes v7.5. All the old albums and tracks are there on the iTouch I just can't get the album art.

You say "If you do a search, there are methods to manually add album art." but HOW do I do that?

My gonads are depending on your answer. No pressure!

Make an iTunes account if you dont have one, then hit Advanced>get album artwork

(make sure the ID3 tags for your songs are filled out)

I did that. It came back with 441 error messages saying it couldn't find the artwork.

I'm sure I'm being very thick but how do I do that?

    Hmm..weird

As for the ID3 tags, that means that you make sure on all your songs that they have the correct artist, album, etc. Right click>get info

As to the "manual" method, search Google for the album art, save it to your Photos folder (or My Pictures), and then get info for the song/album. You can drop the image into the "artwork" box or tab...
